What was I afraid of?

Can you believe that each and every one of my flights left on time! And I got to both the Houston and LaGuardia airports twenty minutes earlier than scheduled? Wow! Great... the halt started at the SuperShuttle counter. I know I need to count my pennies for this trip so I decided to take a SuperShuttle for $17 instead of a cab for $45.00. Well, believe me I paid in other ways. First, the driver cramped 12 of us in the van together... interesting... what was great is that I ended up next to a man from San Antonio and talked to him the whole time... he was interesting (get the idea out of your heads people... he didn't like me... I know what you are thinking). The shuttle ride took 1 1/2 hours with me being the last to be dropped off. Well, let me tell you what my Chilean driver said about me...

I was the last one in the van, and he could view me from his rear view mirror. He said that I was very attractive and started to ask me questions. His first question was did I like it fast or slow (said in Spanish). Did I like what fast or slow? Maybe my naive self shouldn't have asked this question, but I did! He gave me a wink through the rear view mirror and all of the sudden I felt dirty! I said I wanted to get to the dorm with the quickest route due to my hunger. I'll just say this... the man wanted me. He wanted me in a bad way...I hope you're happy DAD! He gave me his number, and I quickly threw it away. He wasn't for me!

I went up to my room and decided it was time to eat. My nerves had had the best of me the day before, and so I also decided to take a little walk. I took pictures here of Morningside Park (with my phone camera... I came without a digital camera!), and I took a picture of my walking pathway! Isn't it gorgeous! Why was I ever afraid to come here. The day was beautiful... sunny, breezy, beautiful (isn't that a commercial). Needless to say, I'm not nervous anymore... well... just nervous that I haven't finished my reading. Better get to work! Love to all!

You should have known something was up when your were the last one to be dropped off. Remember he was from "CHILE" Be careful and have a good time.
You may want to call the shuttle people and ask them if if common practice for their drivers to make comments like that. you may get a free return trip?

Love,

Dad

Dennikins,

I would have been afraid. Please let the shuttle people know that the driver made an inappropriate comment. As your said, maybe the company can give you a free shuttle.
